S-250 Scale Inhibitor

S-250 is a water soluble, liquid, scale inhibitor used for the prevention of alkaline earth metal scale deposits such as calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, and barium sulfate.
S-250 exhibits the threshold effect i.e., a small concentration of chemical prevents scale deposition by holding a much larger quantity of multi-valent cations in solution.
S-250 will not revert to ineffective cations in solution.
S-250 will not revert to ineffective or deleterious compounds on exposure to high temperatures.
S-250 is a neutral, anionic, organic phosphonates that is compatible with most high hardness brines.

Applications
S-250 is recommended for prevention of scale deposition in: producing wells, water injection and disposal systems, cooling water systems, steam generators, heater treaters, and other surface production equipment.
Continuous treatment with S-250 is recommended in surface treating for maximum results. The average rate for S-250 is 5-50 ppm.
The formation squeeze treatment with S-250 may be used to prevent scale deposition in surface equipment, down hole equipment and at the formation face.
The S-250 squeezed into the formation will feed back slowly with produced water, assuring continuous scale inhibition over an extended period of time.
