PAS-8 - Paraffin & Asphaltene Control

PAS-8 is a proprietary blended concentrate which is miscible with either H2O or hydrocarbons.
When PAS-8 is combined with a solvent such as xylene or toluene, the mixture takes on the following functions: paraffin solvent/dispersant, asphaltene solvent dispersant, asphaltene smearing prevention, oil/iron sludge penetrant, oil external phase demulsifier and a formation water wetter.
When PAS-8 is mixed with water, the combination exhibits: paraffin dispersion, sludge penetration, H2O external phase demulsification, hydrocarbon stripper prior to acid or fracture stimulation and an excellent formation water wetter.

Applications
When using PAS-8 with solvents, the typical addition range is 5 to 25%, depending on the severity of the problem.
When using PAS-8 with H2O, 20% addition rates are common depending on the situation described above.
Individual well testing is required to determine the proper addition rate, as well as the proper solvent to use with PAS-8.
For maximum response, an overnight shut-in is suggested. This permits removal of precipitated hydrocarbon deposits near the well bore.
